A change in sludge structure with low energy input can be achieved using the VTA mudinator®.

Ultrasound treatment using the VTA mudinator® can change the structure of the sludge thereby improving the effect of the polymer. 

The more effective charge balancing with the polymer produces more stable floc that is able to release water faster and consequently an optimised dewatering result is achieved.

In combination with the sludge conditioning agent VTA Biocitran®, synergy effects occur during the ultrasound treatment. The treated sludge can be dewatered much more efficiently and polymer consumption can be reduced.

The innovative VTA mudinaor® is based on many years of experience with ultrasound in the patented reverse flow disintegration (GSD)

Our VTA mudinator® also uses ultrasound to treat the sludge. In contrast to disintegration, the cell structures in the sludge are not broken up. The sludge structure is, however, modified to produce optimum charge balancing with the polymer that is subsequently added.
