The Garstnertal Water and Wastewater Association visited VTA to find out more about Nanocarbon® technology and hydrogen production with Hydropower.

the VTA Group develops innovative solutions for wastewater treatment plants that correspond to the future fourth purification stage, such as Nanocarbon®. This technology optimises the purification processes and makes it possible to reduce microplastics and drug residues to a high degree. It also contributes Nanocarbon® contribute significantly to the efficient removal of micro-pollutants that are difficult to break down, thereby improving water quality in the long term.
Another innovative demonstration was the utilisation of Hydropower, which produces hydrogen at low cost. A particularly sustainable energy system for generating electricity and heat for sewage treatment plants and beyond was thus developed.
