Due to their high energy requirements, wastewater treatment plants are among the largest consumers of electricity in a municipality.
A new technology is now set to provide a remedy:
The Kitzbühel wastewater treatment plant has been managed by the Upper Austrian company VTA for many years. By utilising the latest technologies, it has always been possible to achieve the best results in the treatment of sewage water. Using state-of-the-art nanotechnology, VTA has revolutionised water purification and set new standards in wastewater and environmental technology with ground-breaking processes. Up to 99 per cent of microplastic particles can be filtered out of wastewater.
VTA now provides ecological water treatment in over 65 countries worldwide. The latest achievement from VTA is the so-called Hydropower plant, which was presented at the 12th Water Symposium at the Hotel Grand Tirolia.
