For more than 20 years, the sewage treatment plant in the municipality of Stephansposching in the Lower Bavarian district of Deggendorf has been reliably treating the wastewater from 21 localities. With two exceptions, all of these villages are connected via pressure pipes, meaning that the staff have 17 pumping stations to look after.
When the 4000-EW plant was optimised in terms of safety, those responsible decided to install a dosing container for the precipitant used. After all, regulations* stipulate that transport containers such as canisters, drums and IBCs (intermediate bulk containers) must be stored in compliance with the law.
Compact hazardous materials warehouse
EURODOS - a VTA Group company - designed a plant-specific dosing container for Stephansposching in accordance with these requirements and the conditions on site. To be more precise: a compact, walk-in hazardous materials storage facility that offers space for the storage of six IBCs.
The closed container is designed in accordance with DIN EN1090-2 (design class EXC2). The walls and roof are made of galvanised, corrosion-resistant sheet metal with a high-quality two-component exterior coating and additional insulation (40 mm mineral, non-combustible thermal insulation / building material class A).
In order to increase resistance to aggressive media, an additional polyethylene (PE-HD) insert with a wall thickness of 6 mm was installed in the integrated collection tray made of hot-dip galvanised 5 mm steel. A factory test certificate attests to the successful leak test in accordance with EN ISO 3452-1.
Convenient access
The low threshold height of just 150 mm allows easy access. The shelves consist of galvanised, removable grating supports and can be accessed with a pallet truck (mesh size 22 x 11 mm). EURODOS has installed a dosing plate with two dosing pumps for two independent dosing points for professional dosing of the precipitant.
Fully assembled, ready for immediate use
The container is fully assembled for immediate use on a site prepared by the customer. Standard crane lugs enable safe transport to the installation site. The container is also prepared for anchoring in the ground and for connecting a potential equalisation system. With this customised EURODOS dosing container, safe storage is guaranteed at all times.
