VTA Biomaltan^® - the bio-revolution

Outstanding flocculation properties on a purely biological basis: the ‘bio-revolution’ from VTA manages this balancing act perfectly. In just six months of research and development work, a completely new product with impressive benefits was created in VTA’s lab. With the use of corn starch as the basic substance, which is supplemented by specific, highly effective components, VTA once again demonstrates its great potential for innovation. The starting material for VTA Biomaltan^® comes from an Austrian starch producer that operates globally and was also involved in the development work.

The world market is waiting for this

‘Many users have been waiting eagerly for this product, particularly companies from across the food industry. They can now treat their wastewater completely biologically’, explains VTA CEO Ing. Dr. h. c. Ulrich Kubinger, who can now add another entry to his list of numerous successful developments and patents. Since its market launch in October 2016, VTA Biomaltan^® has already proven its effectiveness in a wide range of practical applications. Its configuration also ensures significant synergy effects when used with other VTA system products.

The future is biological

The importance of pollutant-free, biological agents for wastewater treatment will continue to grow significantly in the coming years as the applicable legal provisions and standards are gradually tightened. An example of this is the planned fertiliser ordinance in Germany with its impact on sewage sludge utilisation.
