VTA impresses municipal association with innovative technologies
A high-ranking group of visitors, including Mayor DI Johannes Pressl, President of the Austrian Association of Municipalities, Christian Mader, President of the Upper Austrian Association of Municipalities, Dr. Walter Leiss, Secretary General of the Austrian Association of Municipalities, as well as National Council members Mayor Manfred Hofinger and KR Laurenz Pöttinger, learned about innovative approaches to wastewater treatment from VTA's wastewater specialists.
VISITORS IMPRESSED BY THE VTA ENERGY CONCEPT
During the tour, environmental pioneer Ing. Mag. Dr. h. c. Ulrich Kubinger provided a comprehensive overview of water technology, production processes, VTA laboratories and the VTA Research Campus Austria, which is currently under construction. Visitors were particularly interested in the VTA energy concept, which transforms wastewater treatment plants from energy consumers to efficient energy sources through the use of VTA Hydropower. This was illustrated by a demonstration of hydrogen production from wastewater, which shows an energy saving potential of up to 30 percent.
