As Technical Project Manager in chemical plant engineering, you assume overall responsibility for the planning, cost estimation and execution of demanding projects in chemical plant engineering – from the initial concept phase to commissioning – as part of an internationally active company with branches in over 65 countries.
Responsibilities
- Technical and commercial overall responsibility for projects in chemical plant engineering
- Preparation, review and monitoring of project cost estimates
- Technical and disciplinary leadership of project teams
- Coordination of internal and external project stakeholders
- Schedule, cost and quality control across all project phases
- Conducting contract and change-order negotiations with customers and suppliers
- Technical clarification with customers and coordination of specifications
- Risk management and handling of claims and deviations
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations (e.g., ATEX, Pressure Equipment Directive)
Requirements
- Completed technical education (HTL, FH, university) in process engineering, chemical engineering or similar
- Several years' professional experience in project management in chemical plant engineering or comparable industrial sectors
- Experience in leading project teams
- Solid knowledge in cost estimation and tendering
- Familiarity with industry-specific standards and regulations is an advantage
- German language skills and business-fluent English
- Willingness to travel
- Assertive, structured working style with a high degree of personal responsibility
- Strong communication skills and confident presence in customer settings
